I think I'm just over reacting but this thing has somewhat got fixed in my mind... I have a two and a half year old kid going to play school...... The school organizes a special theme day every month a the kids have to participate by dressing according to the theme and performing.... As a curious mother I always buy new dress for him according to the theme. But he simply does not want to participate.... Yesterday it was jungle theme ...I bought a lion dress for him but he simply refused to wear it and entered his typical tantrum mode which continued till the end of school..... I don't want to imply my thoughts on him but his ignorant attitude is somewhat troubling me... All the mothers out there plz help me Is it normal for him to behave this way.

If you are able to make your children get into school activities like this it would be good. I am not able to provide correct solution and most probably someone experienced will be able to provide it.

Maybe the child has other interests. My youngest granddaughter only likes pink clothes. That´s her thing. She would not like a lion costume. Those theme things are the teacher´s plays, not the children.

@amitkokiladitya I don't have any children but I'd say it's normal and I'm sure he had his own reasons for not wanting to do this. Has is he nowadays? Does he get more involved now?

I think it's pretty normal. Two year old's are just temperamental sometimes. I think my suggestion, if there's a choice for him to be waht he wants during those days allow him to choose so maybe there'd be less fighting.
