The Associated Press reports the news from Chicago Illinois Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura has resigned after his the White Sox lost to the Minnesota Twins by a final score of 6-3. Ventura claimed his decision to resign was a "personal decision." Ventura in his five years of managing the White Sox was not able to lead the team into the playoffs. The White Sox are likely to name bench coach Rick Renteria to manage the team on an interim basis even though the team management has not decided to name Ventura's successor. Ventura managed the White Sox from 2012-1016 after he succeeded Ozzie Guillen who managed the White Sox from 2004-2011 leading them to winning their third World Series title in their history in 2005. The final note is that Ventura's contract was going to expire at the end of the 2016 baseball season which may have been the reason he resigned on Sunday at the conclusion of the current baseball season.

The handwriting was on the wall for Ventura so he resigned before being fired.

It is also possible that the general manager could be fired as well.

Meanwhile, the Reds keep Bryan Price, who has a .416 winning percentage. I guess the only thing the Reds want to win in the foreseeable future is the first draft pick.

It is a shame that the Reds do not care for their fans.
