Getting Rid of Toxic

Sometimes, it really blows my mind thinking why do some kids keep on doing bad things despite the reminders of their teachers and warnings of their parents. I have kids who have been always sent to guidance office because of their unwanted behaviors. They always act as little bossy kids in the classroom and were always the culprits when someone cries among their classmates. It was just last Friday when I talked to their guardians. They were like innocent angels that day. I felt relieved that perhaps they will behave already. But, I was completely wrong. They metamorphosed into a different creature again in the class this day and I don't know what else to do with them. No matter what approach I do, nothing worked. At the end, I just asked them to clean the school premises. The class became at peace when they left the classroom. I am very sorry for my rant this day. I know I must not feel hopeless with these kids. The only powerful thing that I just do every morning is to pray for them. I am afraid when I think that my power as a teacher is not enough to discipline them.

That is the number one thing , i don't like to be a teacher . I hate it when they don't obey me . I might shout at them in front of everybody , so i never have it in my mind to be a teacher . I admire you for being kind patient to those stubborn students .

I don't see myself growing old as a teacher in public high school. I think I cannot spend my whole life teaching. I need to improve more of myself and get a job which I more love and give me less stress.

@SIMPLYD Yes. I never thought teaching would be this tough. I also find something wrong within our Educational System here that makes me sadder.

Don't apologize for ranting. These children need discipline. Do whatever you can. These children will be adults in the future. Now is the time to teach them right from wrong.

@MsBooklover Thank you for understanding. Sad to say, our government has been putting too much favors to the kids, that older people no longer know how to discipline them.

@annierose You are so right. Today...if adults discipline them, they get in trouble with the law. Children lie to authorities to get their teachers and parents in trouble. Then on top of that, there are parents who would rather give their kids a few bucks to go to the mall and get out of their hair, so to speak.

@MsBooklover It has been in our observation too that as years go by, the kids become wilder and become uncontrollable.

I think the type of content we see has that effect on us some of the time.
