Have you tried using Mylot's Search Function?

It has been a while since I last logged in Mylot.
Instead of exploring the discussions, I decided to use the search function to look for members / discussion on a certain topic I am interested in.
So I tried to search "Aikido" a topic I am really into these past few months.
I clicked on the first discussion on the list of results. I was about to respond when I realized that the discussion was posted way back on 2007! I scrolled down and noticed, that the discussions are not in chronological order.
I think mylot needs to add an option that would allow us to sort the search results the way we want it. Don't you think?

Such discussions are often placed in order of relevance, which is the logical way to present them since you are searching for a specific topic. As for the date being 2007, that should not be a deterrent. Discussions do not expire and there are many current members who were here in 2007.

@jrlcentral It is always worth participating in a discussion that appeals to you. I have personally responded to discussions 9 years old.

@Asylum if they receive email notification for the new responses, maybe it will make past members check out mylot again

true.. some may still be active, but when I checked the member who posted that discussion, his last activity was 2010...
However, I just realized other members who responded to that discussion, by a slim chance, could still be active today.
hmmm its still worth a shot.
thanks

thanks. I think it would be a great help if we could sort the results.
BTW, are you into Aikido too?

I hope you did not waste your time responding to a message posted almost 10 years ago. heheh

I have used it, mostly to look for members but occasionally for topics. It's useful if you don't want to duplicate over-done topics.

Actually I have used search before and responded to some some discussions, only to find out that the discussion was already ... stale. :D

@paigea that's good to know. Sometimes I get discouraged in responding on very old discussions.. thinking.. what are the chances the owner is still active?
