It was dark. The bus was going towards the famous Pilgrimage Center Badrinath. There were about 44 tourists from different parts of India. Everybody was in a discussion with each other and were quite busy in narrating their own life experiences and about their personal life. All were the devotees of the Lord Badri Narayan. The driver was an experienced driver. So he was driving with ease and comfort . He was nicely taking the turns and also carefully driving the bus observing the vehicles that were approaching him.The Bus all of a sudden became slow. Everybody was shocked. The Bus stopped suddenly with a 'keek' sound when brakes were applied. The driver took a gasp and he informed the passengers that they had a narrow escape from the lightning that fell about 50 yards away from the Bus. They all appreciated the driver and chanted the name of the God 'Jai Badrinarayan'. After a journey of half an hour, the bus was stopped again. This time the lightning fell in front of the Bus at a distance of 40 years. So again they escaped. This was continuing .When the lightning fell at a distance of 20 yards the tourists took it seriously. They wanted to find out who is the sinner among them. They wanted to eliminate the sinner from the bus. They has decided that each person should go and touch the tree which is at some 20 ft distance before the Bus and come back. If he is a sinner the lightning will hit him and the remaining passengers will have some peace of mind. As decided, everybody went towards the tree , touched it and came out. There was finally one one devotee who is yet to prove his luck. It is confirmed now that he is the last man who is a sinner..As usual ,they wanted to leave him there only. But he politely requested them to permit him toprove his luck. They said ok and insisted on touching the tree . He agreed and started moving towards the tree. He went and touched the tree. When he turned back there was lightning that fell straight on the Bus . The whole remained into ashes not leaving g the passengers. Though they are all devotees they forget to assess the other possibility of their condition. It was only the last man who was actually saving all the 43 passengers The moment he got down the bus the lightning fell exactly on the Bus killing all the tourists.
