Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss decided to step down as the manager of the team on Monday the team announced on their Twitter account. Weiss was not likely to return to the team to manage in the 2017 Major League Baseball season since his relationship with Rockies general manager Jeff Bridrich was not o th best of terms. Bridrich will have the task of searching for a manager to succeed Weiss who managed the Rockies from 2013-2016 but he was not able to get them into the playoffs during his time with the team. Weiss was hired to manage the Rockies on November 7, 2012 after Jim Tracy who managed the Rockies from 2009-2012 before he resigned as manager of the Rockies on October 7, 2012. The last year the Rockies made the playoffs was in 2009 as a wild card entry.

Too bad our profits first ownership wouldn't give him a pitching staff to work with. I always liked him.
