All people will have a belly button. But we do not know how was it there and why? The baby experiences the embryo and Foetus stages in the womb of a mother and remains inside the womb for nine months. How are the food and oxygen given to this embryo for all these nine months? This embryo is connected to the mother's body through a small cord which is called umbilical cord. The food and oxygen required to it are supplied through this cord. Oxygen and food required go to it through the through the veins in the umbilical cord. The waste is discharged through the two arteries in the umbilical cord. After the nine months when the baby comes out of the womb of the mother it can eat, drink and breath and can get rid of body's waste. The umbilical cord is no more required and the Doctor with proper care and observation cuts this umbilical cord without causing any harm to the baby and the mother. Some portion of it will be there to the baby's stomach and it dries up in a week and falls off leaving a small dent or scar is left on the stomach. This is known as the belly button .

I wondered what you were going to say about this. I didn't expect the correct explanation, but instead a joke of some type perhaps. That's because it sounded like you didn't know why it was there.

You can thank the Creator of life for your belly button. Childbirth is a true miracle, that the Creator arranged to populate the earth.
