When you can't sleep

I have been having serious troubles in falling asleep lately. I am just 15 and I have no clue why I can't sleep at night. My teachers complain that I'm always sleepy in the class but I can't really help it when I can't even have a minute of rest.
Do you guys have some suggestions? I desperately need them. Should I visit a doctor?
