Dark And Scary

That’s a good Halloween title, isn’t it? Ghosts filtering through the walls during the night. BOO! And you darn near whiz in you PJs (or whatever, if anything, you wear to bed). But you’re too old to be wetting your bed. Well, this is nothing like that. It’s just a very dark and rainy day here today. It’s so dark I needed to turn the lights on so I wouldn’t stub my toe on the furniture. Okay, so that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but it is a very dark day. When my alarm went off this morning I thought there was something wrong with my clock. It took me a few minutes to realize it was morning and not the middle of the night. The street light is still on. But it is getting lighter. There will be no sunshine today, though. Now here’s a young lady with a song to sing. If you are old enough you may remember Cat Stevens (now known as Yusuf Islam) singing it.

I do know the Cat Stevens version! It is getting darker in the mornings . . . in fact this morning I thought it was too early to get up as it was rather dark . . . but the clock was showing 6:25 - so I had to get up. But I didn't stub my toe and didn't whiz . . . well, I take that back - I did take a morning whiz but in the proper place to do so . Boy, that sure didn't sound lady like .

Since I go to bed fairly late (or should I say fairly early in the morning) my alarm is set for 8 o'clock. So now you can understand how dark it really was. I can overlook your un-ladylikeness because it was funny.

@RichardMeister Wow - that's crazy dark at 8! We leave the house at 7:30am and it's quite light out by then. And - glad you overlooked it!

@much2say Yes, it was crazy dark for 8. I don't go to bed until about 2 a.m. (I'm used to those hours since that's about the time I got to bed when I was working–especially if I didn't get off work until 1 a.m.)
