Steve Burton leaves The Young and the Restless

I don't know if any of you soap fans keep up with the news. But yesterday, it was announced that Steve Burton was leaving The Young and the Restless. Burton used to star on General Hospital, but left in 2012 when his friend/producer Jill Farren Phelps was fired. When Phelps was hired by Y&R, she immediately brought Burton onto the show and tried to make him the leading man.
Burton's character has been hit and miss with Y&R fans. I liked the character of Dylan when he first arrived, then they turned him into a dull guy. When Phelps was fired from Y&R, I knew it was a matter of time before Burton left too.
I'm not too sad about Burton's exit because I felt like he never fit in with the show.
What about you? Are you upset that Steve Burton is leaving The Young and the Restless?

I watched Y&R briefly and saw Burton's debut. Never could into that show.

Y&R has its ups and downs when it comes to stories. It's getting better now that hey hired a new producer and writers.

The only ones left for him are Days of our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful. But I can't see him on any of those shows.

@dramagirl26 Same here. Maybe he would retire and stay with his family. If AMC and OLTL returns to air on ABC, after this long lawsuit with Prospect Park next week, maybe he'll be on those soaps next year.
