John Breech reports the news on Friday the New England Patriots have placed their quarterback Jacoby Brissett on the injured reserved list with a thumb injury that will need surgery that will likely sideline him for the rest of the 2016 football season. Brisset will likely be replaced by quarterback Tom Brady on the Patriots 53 man roster. Brady has served his four game suspension for the Deflategate scandal. The Patriots have not officially added him to their roster yet according to Breech in his report. The Patriots will have quarterbacks Jimmy Garoppolo and Tom Brady on their roster when the Cleveland Browns host the Patriots next Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium. Brissett injured his thumb during the Week 3 in the Patriots 27-0 win over the Houston Texans on Thursday evening. It is not clear if Garappolo or Brady will be the Patriots starting quarterback next Sunday at this point.

Not a bad replacement for Brissett at QB.
