Favorite 80's Jazz Songs #10 - "One Wish"

Since I recently finished an acid jazz series, I figured I'd stay with jazz with a Favorite 80's Jazz Songs series. #10 starts us off with Hiroshima's "One Wish."
Led by keyboardist Dan Kuramoto, Hiroshima formed in 1974. They blend Japanese music with other styles for a fairly unique sound.
(Fun Wikipedia Fact: June Kuramoto is the only non-American born member.)
(Fun Fact #2: Hiroshima does the music for Chef Ming Tsai's PBS cooking show Simply Ming.)
"One Wish" is a great 80's jazz tune. It was not a hit, but both a good indication of Hiroshima's sound, and a direction jazz took in the 1980's.

Years ago we saw them for free at a tofu festival 
. I love their fusion of Japanese and Jazz! I had a couple figure skating routines using their music. Not One Wish, but I used One World . . . and Silent Night . . . but I do like One Wish too!!

They are kind of mesmerizing. I dug this when I was smoking a lot of pot back then, and found it so.

Jazz is awesome. Then again, I do understand people not liking it.
