Ashley Varela reports the news on Sunday the Arizona Diamondbacks have been turned down by Tampa Bays Vice President of Baseball Operations Chaim Bloom to be interviewed to succeed Dave Stewart as the next general manager of the team.
Bloom has been with the Rays organization since 2005. The Diamondback next possible candidate to replace Stewart as the general manager will likely be Kansas City Royals assistant general manager J J Picollo who has been with the Royals organization since 2005.
Picollo was part of the front office of the Royals when they won their second World Series title in 2015. Time will tell if the Diamondbacks are hire Picollo to be their next general manager of will they have search for another candidate.

Bloom has a good job where he is at. Picollo deserves a shot.

You are correct since the Rays are rebuilding while Piccollo has the experience to lead a team to a World Series championship during his time with the Royals.
