Him: "Milk tastes Burnt" Me: It is probably your taste buds... Guess who was wrong?

ME! I toasted our dessert (bear claw from Panera) and poured milk into a glass. My boyfriend took a sip of the milk and said it tasted burnt. I told him it was probably his taste buds from eating lunch (sandwich and tomato soup) since we just bought the milk yesterday and I am now opening it... He said maybe, so I tried the milk.... It did taste burnt and strange. I was wrong Have you ever tasted milk that was burnt? We will bring it back to get another one when we go to the market sometime this week.

@Hatley That is what my boyfriend thinks. During the process they probably overheated it.

That sounds nearly impossible. Weird.

I thought so too! I told him it was probably his taste buds before I even tried .. and when I did. The milk totally tasted burnt. In the process of cooking the milk - they probably overheated it.

@teamfreak16 Yes I think so! I will bring the milk back to Whole Foods and go with a different brand. :) When we go to the market later this week.

It sounds as if either the pasteurization has gone wrong, or somewhere the milk was allowed to sit out of temperature before was put on the shelf.

I think during the pasteurization process something may have went wrong. If it was placed out if temperature I think it'd be sour but that could be the case as well maybe!

One thing I learned from yesterday is that you can't heat up the same fresh milk more than twice or the milk will taste burnt. Yup, barista training

@infatuatedbby yeah, most probably. That could be one of the logical explanations

Oh I see! But the entire milk was burnt ~ So I think whoever ran that batch accidentally ran it twice + more so I ended up buying a different brand.
