Oh, my. What an outrage over the 12-year-old Trump "locker room talk" tape. People are running away from Trump, including a dozen GOP lawmakers.
Give me a freaking break.
First of all, if it's terrible, why are people telling Trump to quit while NBC Today show reporter Billy Bush was only suspended for saying worse things?
Secondly, where are the outrages over all of the 24/7/365 entertainment that DOES what Trump said?
Think about this: how many violent, nightmare-inducing rapes have been show in movies for the sake of a buck? And how many women who are suddenly "offended" by Donald Trump (and let's face it, anymore our "politicians" are just entertainers) went to see these movies because this star or that star was in it?
Fifty Shades of Grey was a runaway best-seller...and women bought it and devoured its story of bondage, abuse, and mistreatment.
Or how about my favorite subject, music? Listen to the misogynistic lyrics or songs like "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)": "shake it for the birds, shake it for the bees, shake it for the catfish;" or, "Gonna watch you make me fall in love, get up on the hood of my daddy's tractor, up on the tool box, it don't matter." And you know who the #1 consumer of this soft-porn trash is? WOMEN. They buy it because the guys singing it are "hunks."
You have the Rolling Stones who had the controversy with the promotional ad for their album Black and Blue (that featured a scantily-clad woman, bruised, with her hands tied over her head and the caption, "I'm black and blue from the Rolling Stones...and I love it"), or their song "Some Girls" (that stereotyped various ethnicities, including the infamous line about African-American women who "just wanna get [dirty dirty dirty word for "sex"] all night"). Billy Joel boasted in "The Entertainer" that "I played all kinds of palaces, and laid all kinds of girls."
Not a peep of protest.
Quit the two-faced whining. Start boycotting the books, the movies, the TV shows, and the music that treats women like dirt in the name of making a buck, then you can tell me what's going on with some politician.
Oh, and make sure you tell me about ALL the politicians and all issues...like Ted Kennedy, who killed a woman in 1969 in a car wreck and never did time for it nor was asked to explain it...or his brother, John, who had more women than a rock band; or Barney Frank and his intern....
All are guilty. If you're looking for a perfect candidate you'd do better to just stay home and watch the Travel Channel.

Excellent points especially concerning Fifty Shades of Gray. Very astute observation of hypocrisy.

Boy are you right about all of it @FourWalls . Let's not bother with who is going to do what for the American people. And the commentators are the guiltiest of all. You'd think this was a damn 'reality' show instead of choosing someone to run this country. I don't like either one of them but then again the MEDIA doesn't bother with any other candidates from OTHER parties.
