Kindness of Airline crew and Passengers

Philippines

This post I saw in my face-book was coming from inside the Philippine Airlines and it was something I don't see everyday. From what the story says, the crew notices one of the passengers crying. Turns out to be an OFW who was sent home and the employer didn't pay her at all. Because of this, Some members of the crew, including the pilot and passengers gave her some money. I hope she finds a new life back here, despite of the bad news the country's been having. Finally, some good news after all the bad news you hear from the media for so many months about PAL or any other Airlines from my country. I wonder if you would do the same for such passenger? For people like them, any amount that you give them , means so much. Yes, I will also give him money if I was there.

I think it is our nature to help somebody without any returns.

@Shavkat Yes, that's true. And I like the feeling after I have given some kindness to other people.

@Letranknight2015 We went to HonKong in 2013 and I saw the sad reality of our thousands of domestic helpers over there .. On our way back to Manila , a young lady was sitting next to me and she looked very sad .. you can tell that something was bothering her and at one stage, she was wiping tears off her face .. It just dawned on to me after reading your post that maybe she was coming home with nothing that's why she was upset ..But at that time, I thought maybe she had a fight with a boyfriend or something ... Yes indeed.. to think that they come home empty handed, is really sad ..

@epiffanie I can't believe this is happening to some of the OFW's going home with absolutely NOTHING Maybe Im glad I didn't get to continue to US despite that we spent 200k on everything.

This good news is a welcome relief from all the negative things that we have hear and read in our daily news programs and newspapers! Hopefully, the returning OFW got enough funds to get back on her feet.

Hello @allen0187 Well, the corruption is somewhat collaboration by some airline staff at the baggage counter and taxi drivers, w/ cops. So far we haven't heard some from the airline crew.

I haven't encountered such a passenger. But it happens with such condition. Good riddance for those who do bad things to others.

What's even sad about that is that when I check this person's FB profile and saw the original video, they were who commented that this was like three instances of OFW's returning with out pay. I mean this is such a disturbing trend @Shavkat
