Have You Recently Thought About the Popularity of the Status or Term of 'Going Steady'?

Back in the day, there was a popular terminology that you may be very familiar with, regarding dating -- specifically, related to the seriousness of a relationship: 'going steady...' is the term, that does not seem to be used alot, today. Have you ever wondered about whatever happened to the popularity of the term, 'going steady', or the status of relationships in the state or in the condition of 'going steady'? Has 'going steady', simply become an obsolete term for relationship states? Have you recently noticed the term used, aside from this post? If so, when and where? If you have ever went-steady with someone, wasn't it a really cool thing to be doing... back in the day? Or, perhaps, at this time. Do you know of any current 'going steady' couples, at this time? Or, do you think it is just an old-style 'dated' thing (related to dating), that is (for the most-part) outdated? (Pun, intended). If you have ever wondered about 'whatever happened to going steady' -- here is an interesting article, about the topic:
Have millennials' gadgets paved the way for dating woes and hook-ups?

"going steady" has become an "old-school" term here.. we would laugh at the term when we hear it these days but we will miss those good old days...

Well, the only time I heard that term was when I was in the 5th grade. Kids used to go steady, and I don't think they were really doing much other than he would give her a necklace or a pin, and everyone would know they were a couple.

Nop. Not any time in the recent past have i heard anyone use this term. Nowadays we hear of people dating...breaking up ...and suddenly marring someone completely different. I don't know where the charm has gone.
