Here is one of my favorite articles that I ever wrote. It was a review on a restaurant in Houston, that I wrote on a few years back. Not sure if it still exists. I was in a good, and funky mood that day...so went a little crazy. I actually received rave reviews on this review, because of it's quirkiness. It always brings a smile to my face, each time I read it. The restaurant is actually called "This Is It"...

This Is It…
SoooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuL Train!!! Yes folks… You will probably be hearin' some soul music in this restaurant while you are chowin' down on some good old, down home, grit spittin'…Hee Hawin' grub!!!
Yes…the kind of grub that you can't live without. No mistakin' about it. Go ahead…it's okay to give a shout!!! This is the best known purveyor of soul food in town! It makes me want to get down and break dance!!!
It's very popular at lunch time with many casual rappin' soul food fans from around the area, while the soul food die-hards are present at both lunch and dinner.
The service has a "help yourself style" cafeteria atmosphere serving several different entrees and a half-dozen or so side dishes each day.
For about $8 smack-a-roos you get one entree, three side dishes and some down-home cornbread. Slap a big glob of butter on that bread and your fingers and tongue will be singin' in harmony. The portions are generous. However…the calories-per-cent value here goes through the roof!!! So…if you are tryin' to shed some of those extra "triglycerides of fatty acids," this is not the place to be.
The menu has an assortment of "soul food" delights like oxtail's, meatloaf, pepper steak, chitterlings, baked and smothered chicken, meatballs, chicken and dumplings, pork chops, ham hocks, turkey wings and barbecue rib ends just to name a few. Okay…I had to jot all this down from the menu. My memory is great…but not that great!!!
The menu is going to be different each day. Let me point out that their whipped mashed potatoes are smooth and good. Very good. In fact…very, very good!!! And I'm a hard one to please!!! The candied yams are so sinfully delicious that they can be mistaken for dessert!!! So much so that it's almost glistening with sugar. The green beans are cooked in a southerly fashion with lots of fat backs!!! And let's not forget about the unforgettable…incredible…unmistakably scrumptious peach cobbler!!! Shame on you if you walk out of this joint and not have this on your tab!!!
This restaurant has all of the fat and cholesterol-laden food that you could ever want!!! Count on getting a slap on the wrist from the doc at your next annual check-up!!!
Considering the amount of portions you receive for the price, this is one experience that everyone needs to try at least once! As the gang at "Hee Haw" would say…SALUTE!!!!! Okay… I confess… I guess soul food is even good for the "red-necks!" LOL

lmao wow that is an awesome review. You really have a way with words and a great sense of humor so the two of them combined makes for an entertaining review. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I had a lot of reviews. I lost most of them, when I lost all my possessions.
