A report from Andrew Lynch on Wednesday says Carolina Panthers starting quarterback Cam Newton was able to join his teammates in practice. There is one catch though. Newton has not been cleared by officials of the National Football League to resume his football duties until he clears their protocol from his concussion injury he suffered in Week Four during the Panthers loss to the Atlanta Falcons when linebacker Deion Jones hit Cameron with a legal hit after he was taunted by Newton earlier in the game. The Panthers next opponent will be the New Orleans Saints who will be the home team next Sunday. The Saints coaches are anticipating Newton will be cleared to be the starting quarterback of the Panthers next Sunday. In case Newton is not cleared to resume his football duties as the starting quarterback of the Panthers, Derek Anderson will replace Newton as the Panthers starting quarterback. The Panthers (1-4) need a win against the Saints (1-3) in order to have a chance to make another playoff run this year.

I know many Saints fans who look like to see Carolina lose next Sunday in New Orleans since they think Newton is a jerk.
