My dreams or family expectations

My wishes regarding career, job and life differ from that of my parents. I believe I would love to make my parents happy but I am not sure if I should drop my wishes for their happiness.

We must love and respect our parents but I think it'd be wrong to drop your wishes just to make them happy.Talk to them about your wishes. I am sure they love you and will do everything to make you happy.

In the long run, your parents won't be happy if they see you not so happy in life just because of they made you do something, you did not want to. Save your parents from the guilt. Explain them what you want to do and what really will make you happy. Whatever you choose now, remember, you have to live with it whole of your life. make the right decision.

Its true. I have made such choices in the past based on family's expectations and they have proved to be drastic but still my parents dont wamt me to do what i want to

You are not clear on exceptions. But we all have to accept and compromise with situation. However mental satisfaction is not everywhere, we have to achieve it.

It is your life you have to live it in a way that will make you happy. Your parents should support you in your decisions. Talk to them and tell them how you feel.
