Does Amazon charge different prices for different clients?

It's about the same product, could it be that Amazon charges different prices to different clients? That is, does it consider the location of the client, his track record, and so on? I don't mean just the shipping costs, but the product as such.

I've never thought about it, but I don't think Amazon alone does the charging but the person doing the selling of the item on Amazon. For instance, you can find my books on Amazon and I set the prices on them.

Sometimes, very similarly to how grocery stores have taken to offering specific customers discounts on items they buy frequently through their loyalty card programs. Their prices also fluctuate very frequently. I've taken to adding items to my cart to watch the prices, and I've seen items drop in price for five minutes (sometimes less) only to go up a bit higher than the were previously. It's interesting to watch.

A rather interesting question, but sadly I do not know the answer.
