We had a great home school day today. We got a lot of learning done. In social studies we learned about Ancient Rome and what B.C and A.D stand for. Then we had a pop quiz on what we learned! In science we learned about resources found under the Earth and above, such as oil and coal. In English we did 20 minutes of independent reading. We did reading comprehension with a story about outer space. In math we learned about perimeter and area. Then we did worksheets on it. We learned a lot! =)

My son would be over the moon as he loves space. He can draw the solar system and planets, as well as dwarf planets and their moons. He even draws a few planets he made up on his own and name them and he even always remembers those names

I guess I never asked this before. You have kids with different ages. Do you organize the study plan for each of them separately? Depending on their grades? Homeschooling though I have known about, I don't have any detailed knowledge about how it goes.

@Daljinder Most subjects we all do together. Math and English they are on separate levels so they do their own worksheets in those subjects. And we do things all together in those subjects as well so they grow.

Your kids learn more than the kids in public school. Do they have to take a test to prove they are doing good.

@jstory07 I do the best I can and they seem to soak it all up which is awesome! No at the end of the year a certified teacher looks at their work to make sure their learning. =) Most parents want their kids to be successful so I know I push them harder than any teacher would.
