Jeff Legwold reports the news on Thursday the Denver Broncos have deactivated quarterback Austin Davis and activated their starting quarterback Trevor Siemian. Siemian suffered an injury to his non throwing shoulder during the fourth week of the National Football League season win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Siemian was not able to play during the fifth week of the regular season versus the Atlanta Falcons since his shoulder injury had not fully healed. Rookie Paxton Lynch replaced Siemian during the Broncos 23-16 loss to the Falcons last Sunday. Siemian will be backed up Paxton Lynch if he is not able to complete the game versus the San Diego Chargers on Thursday Night Football that will be played at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego California. The Chargers (1-4) are on a three game losing steak while the Broncos (4-1) are on a one game losing streak.

You are correct since they are the defending Super Bowl champions.
