Unwanted Visitors

It's been twice this week that I had unwanted visitors around the house. I am not very good at this cause I am used to just being with my daughters around the house. Then we can just do whatever we want and look the way we are.
The major pain about these people visiting us is they have to stay a couple of days. It's very inconvenient for me since I have to work from home and I can't afford to have too much noise with my small apartment. Plus it's not just one person but the whole family. So I have to put up with 2 grown ups and 2 kids in a small place.
Maybe I am being too nice? I don't think so. They just leave me clueless that they are coming and staying in. I am cracking up and I am loosing my temper with all these. I am not a bad person but I need peace and quiet around the house.

It's really inconvenient to have unexpected visitors especially if you have work to do.

I am sorry to hear that. Did you know that they were coming or did they show up unannounced?

They showed up unannounced both times. That really tick me off!

@cherriefic I would be ticked off too. That is rude to do that especially when there are 4 of them.

You should tell them the truth with respect and expect that they consider staying at your home or not.

I guess there's no better way to do it but to just tell them straight up. It's hard to deal with this hospitality thing when some people doesn't even care if they are pestering me.

I get unwanted visitors too and some I don't even like. Just told a now ex friend off because he only showed up with food pantry food and thought he could come and eat all the time.

I don't know about those kind of people why they think it's OK to just show up just like that!

I welcome guest who informs us that they will be visiting us , I will be upset on receiving guest who comes without informing. The reason I wont welcome them because we would have plans to go outside, and the other reason is that there won't be anything in the house as I don't stock confectionery items at home.

Yes. Same people. It's really tiring to have to also include them on my to-do list. I'm an introvert. I go crazy when there are a lot of people around.

Since you work from home they should respect your need for quiet while you work.

Yeah. But I think I have to tell them myself but I don't know how they will take it. Maybe no matter how gentle I tell them not to show unannounced, they will still take it the wrong way.
