The good news is the weather cooperated and I was able to finally take a walk at lunch. The bad news is photos were a little hard to come by thanks to the fact many other people had the same idea (and quite a few weren't obeying leash laws with their dogs).
I did, however, manage to get some photos, including one of this caterpillar.

Isn't amazing how the middle color seems painted on but is natural.

Even more amazing is how he survived being run over by a very large lawnmower.

We call them woolly bears, they are predicting how bad the winter will be. The size of the red/brown line in the middle tell us if its going to to be a long or short winter. I would say by looking at your photo it will be normal - not long not short.
