Googling Names

@Susiecat wrote a post about Googling names. I wrote a comment saying I didn’t mind it at all if someone Googled my name (Richard L. Meister Jr). I hadn’t Googled my own name for many, many moons (this means in such a long time that I can’t remember how long), so decided to Google it. What I found surprised me. No, there was no rap sheet on me. What I found was my name used in Wikipedia. Of course I had to take a look and see what that was all about. It was not a profile on me. Someone had used one of my articles for reference. Still it was a bit exciting. I also found my name associated with another article for reference. The only problem was the site my article was on is not longer. It was on Associate Content which became Yahoo! Voices. Yahoo! eventually closed it down. The moral to this is–Google your name once in awhile. You might be surprised at what you find.
