Today was fun !
When I got there I was feeling nervous, and when I set up my table (and they gave us eight foot tables) I was a little disappointed that it didn't look like I had that much stuff at all.
So, I thought, "Well, it will be a good experience." and sat down to work on the cross stitch I'd brought with me.
After a while, I got a "next door neighbor" at the next table, and we chatted a lot, plus I got up and walked around talking to the other vendors, one of which I knew.
A lot of the people who came by my table (maybe most of them) were residents there at the assisted living center.
To make a long story short, to my pleasant surprise I made nine sales !
Some were to residents, and a few were to other vendors. It surprised me what some of the people bought, and I got lots of ideas for what to make next year -- from things people just talked about to things people said they wished that I had.
I missed my nephew's birthday, but like my brother said when I spoke to him on the phone, it was a last minute thing, and I had already made plans. It would have been the adults sitting around talking and eating while the boys played, anywho.
I couldn't get a very good photo of my table--the lighting wasn't the greatest, and because there were other tables around I couldn't get that good of an angle, but there you go (above).
It was fun. I look forward to doing it again !
