The music box that Barnabas Collins plays for Josette or the woman who most resembles her from a hundred or more years ago. It made me think about those music boxes that play a song when opened.
The intricacy and delicate detail that go into the creation of such a box is a lost art. Most likely a thing of ancient days gone by.
Perhaps your family has a music box, one that has been passed down from one generation to the next, that you or another member of your family has as a keep sake.
I am vaguely familiar with them. I know that those of my previous generation it was more common. Here is a link to an article about music boxes and their origin.

Music boxes are special. I had one as a kid. My husband and I received one from a relative as a wedding gift many years ago, that we still have.

I am glad to hear this. Maybe you will be able to pass it down to the next generation and it will remain in the family for a long time to come.

You are a lucky one to have one of your very own to cherish.

I love music boxes and still have a couple of them. I loved that scene in House of Dark Shadows with the music box and Barnabas Collins.
