I am freom India. I am proud about its history, its culture, its peace loving people and its tourist places. The Taj Mahal is just one of the countless historical relics here. Can you cite ten historical sites from your own countries? Indian sites include 1. Sun temple Konarak, Orissa where the sunrays fall on the altar once a year. 2. Bathing ghats in temple town of Varanasi - land of Lord Shiva 3. Temples of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Himalayas at Uttarakhand 4. Source of River Ganga at Gangotri in Himalayas at Uttarakhand 5. Taj Mahal at Agra, Uttar Pradesh 6. Brahadeeshwara Temple at Tanjore, Tamil Nadu 7. Richest Temple built over seven hills at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh 8. Dal lake at Srinagar in Kashmir 9. The lovely tourist beaches of Goa 10. The Lovely gardens of Brindavan in Mysore, Karnataka. And these ten don't include 'Gods own country' of Kerala and the majestic palaces of Rajasthan.

I've never been to India, but I'd really like to. Perhaps some day I will.

@jaboUK Yes. But Hindi is a common in the northern states and English is understood by most city people. Official government language is Hindi while English is also used.

I am sure you will love the sites and the sights of India. You will need a month or more to really see the vastness of the country. Almost 30 states in India, most of them which are larger than many countries in the world. India is not a country, it is a continent, with people speaking more than 50 languages, apart from local dialects.
