Quite a pleasant day today despite being cold and seeing some of the heaviest rain of the year so far.
A local historian was giving a free talk on the area at a Preston community centre so I went along and learned a lot about my new home town, which I’ve reviewed separately.
I got talking to the organizers about my own writings so I could be a guest speaker there myself in future.
I had hoped to go out collecting more pub sign photos, but the weather made that impossible so I went to the museum and art gallery instead for a very pleasant afternoon, followed by a little shopping on my way back to my flat.

@Asylum the Victoria incident seems to be as much down to poor design and cheap building as the rain itself

I think it's cool to collect photos of something in a series like your pub signs.
