Zac Jackson reports the news on Wednesday the Indianapolis Colts have claimed off waivers former Carolina Panthers defensive end LaVar Edwards.
Edwards was released by the Carolina Panthers one day ago. During the 2016 football season Edwards had played five games for the defending National Football Conference champions recording one quarterback sack.
Edwards was a fifth round draft choice of the Tennessee Titans in the 2013 National Football League out of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
Edwards has played in 12 games for the Tennessee Titans, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers.
The Colts released cornerback Darryl Morris to make room for Edwards on their 53 man roster on Wednesday.

Talk about getting employed quickly after you have been released by another team.
