Yes indeed so I think the worst might be over.
7 days without a ciggie.
The ecig thing has helped.
But what keeps me focussed most is 5he money I am not spending on ciggies.
Thats £40 not spent but spent £23 last Thursday on 2 ecigs so £17 to the good.
Well done us.
Anyone else quit smoking of late or anyone want to?
Any thoughts on ecigs?
Or is anyone finding it hard to quit?

Congrats on going a week without smoking, and you can definitely go for week two! Great job! :)
I can't answer your questions because I have never smoked, but I know people who do/did, and some were able to quit, and others unfortunately weren't.

@saulgoodman It's good that you did stop, and that you're not craving it anymore! I wish some of my loved ones didn't smoke. :-/

You are doing great. My fiance quit for 7 weeks last winter. I was so proud of him for going for so long and then he started again. I felt so disappointed cause I really thought at that point that he had it beat.

Oh god. If he stopped for 7 weeks he had done all or most of tbe hard work.
Why the heck did he start again?
I think you are right to feel as you do.
I wont smoke ciggies again. Ever.
Just like when I stopped the booze.
I am really focussed.
All around lifestyle change and smoking has no place in my new lifestyle.
Amazingly I havent started eating more either.

@saulgoodman It was not easy not to start way back then when all movie stars smoked in the screen. It was cool to smoke.

Well my friend. I felt the same. But its not entertainment or enjoyment.
Its a potential killer.
Its expensive.
Oh I know how easy it is to get hooked.
All I know is this. I could have spent the tens of thousands i spent on tbe habit on other things that arent bad for health.
Or saved. Id be a very rich man.

Yep.
I started messing with them 44 years ago when I was 12.
It was the cool thing to do.
Used to pinch them from my grandfather.
Then by 13 was smoking 10 every day.
Tried stoppi g a few times but never managed to do so.
This time I have. Not got much money. So can t buy them.
Need to get fitter. So smoking is out.
Trying to lose wright too so thought it best just to ditch all the shite from my lifestyle at once.
Cancer is a bad one and I just hope I am not too late in stopping.
I feel ok and I dont cough up stuff and my breathing is ok.
But who knows.
Glad to hear that you dont smoke

Aye. Couldnt agree more.
Sorry about your dad.
But
The stuff is so addictive I can undetstand why people cant stop and do get all sorts of stuff wrong with them.
Its sad.
Maybe ciggies should just not be made anymore then no one in the future would get cancer caused by them

@saulgoodman possibly. But, then you still will get it from our food, additives, and air. We've messed up the world way too much, so it's bound to get us sooner or later!
