bat houses

i have constructed a house with an openeing of 8" by10.with three of the same.so the house has three rooms and no bats.?? what did i do wrong??

I would suggest purchasing this book called " Bat House Builder's Handbook!" from Amazon.com This book has a lot of great suggestions.
