Preston Pub Sign The Gamull

The sign depicts a classic steam train emerging from a tunnel. The sign is actually named after a railway station rather than the train. The station was actually misnamed Gammer Lane though it was located on Gammul Lane. The bridge near it was known as Gammul Bridge. The station closed to passenger services in 1930 but it was used for goods trains until 1980.

That's pretty cool. I like stuff like that where they try and keep history alive and remembered.
