The X-men member Wolverine is 120 years old in the comics, cartoons and movies because his powers which is healing factor slows down his aging. On the Upcoming movie Logan, His powers are deteriorating, In fact he is finally aging. It is set in the future of the X-men movies. Wolverine is losing his healing powers. He is finally aging and dying.
On this movie he will meet X-23 or Laura, In the comics X-23 is a teenage girl who was a clone of wolverine and she is created to destroy him. They did fight at a certain point but they eventually became allies and he will adopt her as his own daughter.
In the movie version, X-23 is a little girl instead of a teenager. I think this is suppose to be an action drama where Wolverine will have adventures with this little girl who is a clone of him. On this movie Wolverine is aging and dying but he found a reason to live again after having an adopted daughter who can also count as his biological daughter because she is her clone.
I think it is Marvel's attempt to make a Superhero movie win an acting award because it looks like a movie that will make you cry. A lonely old man who will be protective of a little girl he treats like a daughter while fighting bad guys. This is Hugh Jackman's last movie as Wolverine. There are rumors Wolverine will die on this movie and X-23 will takeover as the title of Wolverine.
Logan In Theaters - March 3, 2017 Cast: Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen Directed by James Mangol...

Couple of things I find funny about this:
1. About six months ago I did an online survey that lined out a hypothetical Wolverine film with this premise. I didn't think 0th Century Fox was actually working such a film!
2. I thought X-men Apocalypse was going to be the LAST X-men film. Or maybeit's the last of Bryan Singer's series of films. Which means, the reboots if any might worst...MUCH worst...

X-men movies will be replaced by X-factor movies. Wolverine movies will be replaced by X-23 movies. the rest will be Avengers movies and Avengers related movies.
X-men movies should be taken over by a fan of the material like the people behind Deadpool.

@Hanyouyomi I think there might be no X-men movies for now because they want X-factor and X-force to happen

@CaptAlbertWhisker So no crumby reboots? It would appear that 20th Century Fox has learned their lesson from the Fan4stic reboot...

@youless I wonder if they will allow the actress who played X-23 to watch her own movie. I felt bad for her, She wont be allowed on the cinema. I guess she can watch it on DVD.

It was a shocker to me when I saw it yesterday and couldn't stop replaying the button while I listen to the song. It's been a long journey for Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

I am kind of weirded that X-23 will be a little girl here. I guess they want a deeper father daughter bond. X-23 grew up in abuse from the scientists who created her, I think on this movie, she will experience love of parent from wolverine.
the song they used is hurt by Johnny Cash, the singer who sang it was dying in Cancer when he record the song. It kinda fits with this movie because he is dying on this movie:
Aaaaah Dando Boura... "Hurt" é uma canção escrita por Trent Reznor, primeiramente lançada no álbum de 1994 do Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral. Em 2002, ...

@Letranknight2015 I hope they will do X-23 justice here. They wanted this to be the first superhero film to win an acting award.
