Do you get an alert when a friend posts a question?

Just wondering. I set my notifier on and haven't gotten any alerts. Am I missing something?

I get notifications for some of my friends that I have set on but I do not get notifications for all of them that I have set on. There must be a flaw with that or something. You are definitely not missing anything or the only one with this problem.
