I don’t know how many of you remember a song by this title. Many rock and pop stars got to show their talent and get people to listen to their music through the helping hand of MTV. One such pop band was from Norway a-Ha. Once their video and song “Take On Me” began to be shown on MTV they became popular and the song became a number one hit of the Billboard pop chart one October 19, 1985.
Pop band a-Ha caught on to the New Wave happening. In their video lead singer Morten Harket went through a transformation through the use of decades-old technology known as Rotoscoping. You see a handsome comic book motorcycle racer (Harket) having a romance with a pretty girl from the real world. He’s seen fighting off angry pursuers and a pipe-wrench fight breaks out. Finally our hero bursts our of the comic book world and appears as a handsome real boy. Sounds a bit like something from Disney’s “Pinocchio” where a wooden puppet becomes a real boy. Have a look.

This band did the title sequence for one of the James Bond films, The Living Daylights. I can hear the track you mention whirring around inside my head now too :)
