My friend Lili spent a few days in Mexico, at a literary congress. Good for her! Because as soon as she came back, all the problems with her mother and with her brother fell over her head again. Her uncle (who is helping some financially) wants his sister to be in a better home. He says that, but he does not live in the city and whatever help he gives is just help. My friend does not know how long it will last. I told her to come. We´ll have coffee and she wants me to make a cheese sandwich for her (I told her that I was i lettuce sandwichs lately). In fact, I have some mozarella and that will have to do. It is the time of our lives when we have problems with our elders. Dixie´s mother is very ill and I don´t think that she´ll recover from it. Lili´s mother is living at a very good home, but still she needs a lot of attention. We are not getting any younger either. I did not like the way Dixie was yesterday. She doesn´t have the health to take care of her mother and also work.

Unfortunately, we are all on the "assembly line" of getting older. Sad to realize that.

True. I am counting on my lymphoma to live a shorter life and be less bothersome for my children.

Parents sometimes need more care than we can give them. Lili just called me. She will not come, even for a cup of coffee. There was an emergency with her mother and she´s on it.
