Does landscape of Shillong has similarity with Scotland?

October 25, 2016 8:06pm CST
Shillong in Megahalaya, India is considered the Scotland of the East. It is a very romantic place. There are beautiful lakes, called Umium lake, waterfalls and beautiful Golf courses in Shillong. I have visited Shillong. I did not visit Scotland, so I wonder whether it has similarity with Scotland.

Nice picture. Have always wanted to visit North East India, on my bucket list , just need time to visit it. Probably all 7 states would be super idea but impractical.
