Kevin Patra reports the news on Wednesday the Seattle Seahawks have released running back C J Spiller on Wednesday. Will Tukuafu will replace Spiller on the Seahawks 53 man roster. Spiller had signed a one year contract on September 28, 2016 since running back C J Prosise had been sidelined with a broken hand injury. Spiller has played in the National Football League with the Buffalo Bills from 2010-2014 and the New Orleans Saints in 2015 as a running back. Despite being healthy Spiller was not activated for the Seahawks football games against the Atlanta Falcons and the Arizona Cardinals. Now that is a free agent once again, Spiller will be on the market to seek employment with another team in the National Football League that will be needing the services of the 29 year old running back.
