When I was a teenager, more years ago than I want to admit at the moment, I had a Pug that looked just like the dog in this picture. His name was Sir Winston Bartholomew but we just called him Bart. He was a funny sweet dog. He used to scare me at night by growling at - well, nothing I could see. He also was a great lover of lettuce. Anytime he would hear the refrigerator door open he would come running on the off chance that you were taking out lettuce. He would even steal lettuce out of our garden. One day I was sitting in the kitchen eating a salad, that of course, I was sharing with Bart, when a tiny piece of lettuce fell and stuck to his eye. I yelled for somebody to come and help was so upset I couldn't try to help to poor baby. Fortunately my brother came running and got it out of his eye. I cried thinking I had hurt him but he acted like it was nothing. Have you ever had a pet that loved a vegetable this much? Image from :

That's funny. I guess like humans they have their favorite food. I say humans because they are people too, or so they think.

@HazySue I am confused wash he a he or a she dog? My Sophie is not a dog but she still does get fussy at time when I try to get things off her face like hair. We do not want to ever hurt our furry ones so get upset if something gets on them or in their eyes that we cannot remove ourselves. When it is gone from them we do not want them to be angry at us for not helping them ourselves.
