Sneaking Around–Spooked Out Of My Mind

I’m sneaking around the house this morning. Peeking out the blinds. There’s something very strange and spooky going on outside. Something so weird, so bizarre, so scary.
There is a yellow UFO flying very slowly across the sky. It’s throwing an extremely bright light down on us. Blinding. And the sky isn’t it’s usual color. It is a scary bright blue. And it is very creepy.
What? I’m so freaked out that I can hardly peek through the blinds. And the neighbor is letting her kids play outside? I’d better call her and warn her.
Just got off the phone. My neighbor said it is strange. But she assured me everything is fine. She told me the yellow thing in the sky is only the sun. And the sky is always blue during the day once the clouds clear away. It’s nothing to be afraid of. It’s just been so long since we have seen the sun and blue sky. The strange part is it’s supposed to be raining this morning.
Okay, so I was a bit frightened by a little sunshine and blue sky. But It’s been so long since I have seen them. All we need is less than one inch (2.54 cm) and we will break a record for the most rainfall in October since the 1940s. And the record is a little over five inches (12.7 cm).
I have opened all the blinds now and I see gray clouds and the sun sliding behind them. I think this morning’s rain is on it’s way.

Nice written, but I am curious over that yellow small thingy. If it stayed at place, then it was definitely the sun.. I doubt the Aliens would visit us in the middle of the day.

@RichardMeister I hope I see one someday. I just hope I won't freeze and sh*t my pants.

@supervalon I have not seen one even though they were supposed to have been flying around my neighborhood a few years back.

Oh yah, so rub it in how much rain you are getting
. I could've told you what that yellow and blue things were - they hang around here and won't leave
! Now let me tell you if we got some real rain - something heavy that just won't stop - I just may be spooked out of my mind because we haven't seen THAT in so long!

@RichardMeister Wow - there probably wasn't even 6 days this year that it rained here!

That wouldn't surprise me. The news tonight said there has only been 6 days this month that it hasn't rained.

Here, rain was also predicted, but it was a sunny 61. As of the 27th, we had 8.8 inches of rain. I knew there was a lot and probably another inch or so since then.

We've also seen a lot of rain in the last weeks (making up for this summers drought). Today, other than a brief shower before 8 AM it has been dry.
