What helps you open up?

Writing about my mother made me cry so much. Writing makes me open up with my vulnerability, feeling and emotions. What makes you open up? Is it a person? Is it the caring attitude? Or is it some kind of talent you already have?

I rarely open up with anyone other than those that are very close to me but if you mean emotions, a good movie will evoke emotions or a good book.

Its nice to have someone close with whom you could share! :) And.. Sorry..I didn't mean 'evoking of the emotions' but expressing of the emotions! But yes..indeed good movies and books do evoke emotions.

@RitzzView I only really express emotions with those who are very close like my husband or my daughter.

@BelleStarr That's good! When I read the last word of your comment, "daughter", I remembered my line with my mother.. "I only talk to you" Maybe even my mother is close to me!

A good conversation with someone who is making an effort to understand me....that always helps me to open up.

Only a long acquaintance can make me open up. I don't like to talk much about myself.

Long acquaintance would help you develop trust right?!
