No Rest for the Tired

I am at school now I just had my small lunch which consisted of an apple, a protein bar, and a stick of string cheese. I washed that down with water and I am determined to stick to my diet and exercise for my fitness journey.
Unfortunately, I did not get as much rest as I had planned on getting last night. I was ready for bed at about 9:30pm and I had even taken 2 melatonin gummies to help me out. They did absolutely nothing. I was laying in my bed and my son repeatedly came over to jump on the bed or sing and scream to which I yelled since I was so tired, and I know I shouldn't have. On top of that my husband was playing his stupid video game which was super bright and only helped with keeping me awake. My phone was another culprit keeping me up with its notification light. Finally at around 1am my son fell asleep beside me but I had to pee really bad. After that I was able to sleep I think from pure exhaustion though I think I didn't actually fall asleep until 2am. I woke once or twice after that, luckily my husband had finally turned off the tv and his game. I was so sad when my alarm went off because I wake up at 7am and I planned to do so much today.
I know that when I get home I will definitely be sleeping well tonight.
Tell me what things absolutely bug you and will keep you from sleeping? Have you ever tried anything like those sleeping gummies? I may take double the amount i took last night. Can you overdose on melatonin?
For me it is lights and if it is too hot in the room.

I wouldn't take any more then the recommend amount for Melatonin. It will only make you feel run down in the morning until it completely wears off. I am sorry you couldn't sleep. Sometimes my fiance will watch a TV show on the computer and it is in our room so that will keep me awake. Others things that keep me awake are my own thoughts at times. Some nights I just can't shut my brain off or unwind enough to sleep.

I get nights like those too. It is in like a gummy vitamin type thing and it did not work for me. It was supposed to be 5 mg I think.

I've never tried sleeping gummies
Using it might be okay... But being addicted with it could be a problem.
