Marc Sessler reports the news on Monday the Green Bay Packers have released former Kansas City Chiefs running back Knile Davis. Davis was traded by the Chiefs to the Packers on October 18, 2016 for a late round conditional draft choice. Davis only carried the football five times for five yards and caught two passes during his short stay with the Packers. The Packers will go with Ty Montgomery, rookie Don Jackson and James Starks who is recovering from a knee injury who should be back in the lineup soon. Since it was less than two weeks that Davis was with the Packers, the Chiefs will not get any draft picks from the Packers in return. Davis, 25, should be able to land on his feet since his services will be needed by another team in the National Football League that will be needing a running back on their roster soon.
