San Diego Chargers claim former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jeremy Butler off waivers

Dallas Robinson reports the news on Monday the San Diego Chargers have claimed off waivers former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jeremy Butler. Butler started the 2016 regular football season with the Tampa Buccaneers as a member of their practice team on September 4, 2016 before he was placed on the active roster on October 4, 2016 before he was released on October 9, 2016. The New York Jets claimed him off waivers on October 11, 2016 before was he released on October 29, 2016. Butler was claimed off waivers by the San Diego Chargers due to knee injury to their wide receiver Travis Benjamin who went to see another doctor of how severe his P C L injury to his knee is. It is not clear if Benjamin will need surgery to his injured knee or not. The Chargers decided to add Butler on their roster as depth at their wide receiver position. To make room for Butler on the Chargers 53 man roster, the team released wide receiver Isaiah Burse on Monday.
