Goals For The Month of November

Well, I have several goals to reach this month and next, before the new year arrives. I've always been a goal-oriented person. 1. I plan to write at least two articles every day on myLot. I have gathered some information that I think others will enjoy reading. There were several days in October that I didn’t write anything or participate at all. Just too busy this past summer. 2. I’ve been printing out some of my articles that I think will fit nicely into my book of “memoirs” that I am making for my family. I purchased a new ink cartridge and have been printing about 20 pages per day. Once I get them all printed, I will publish them in a book on lulu.com. 3. I am also printing out all my poems that I have in my documents and typing up some that I have handwritten, so that I can publish a book of my poetry. I’ve been printing out several of those every day, too. 4. I want to finish up my photo albums of my family and get every photo labeled, with names and dates. I have made a lot of progress on this project, but want to get it finished. 5. I’m still working hard to get this office cleaned out so that I can repurpose this room. I have made a lot of progress but there is still much to do. 6. Last night I worked for three hours getting all my jewelry ready for the jewelry sale that I will be doing this month also. Then, I need to send out invitations to all my previous customers and friends who will hopefully come. What I don’t sell this way, I will try to sell online. 7. I want to learn how to sell some things on Etsy. I’ve done some embroidery pieces and have several things now to offer. I also hope to learn how to sell some things online on E-Bay. I don’t know how to do that either, so I’ve got to learn that. I do know that I have to take photos of what I want to sell, so I want to set up a backdrop for taking the photos. 8. I hope to continue my family search on ancestry.com. 9. I have numerous things yet to shred from my office. I purchased a new shredder yesterday. 10. Then, I have closets to clean. I’m keeping my weight off, so I’m going to be getting rid of a LOT of clothes, and while I’m at it, I’m going to switch from summer to winter. I have already moved quite a few things. I have two closets so I use them to switch seasons. So, as you can see, I have lots of projects going on. I decided that the best thing to do is tackle a different project every day, so that I don’t get bored. That way I can work a few hours each day on a different project, until they are all completed. I will let you know from time to time, what I have been able to accomplish, whether you are interested or not. Now, I just have to decide which day to do what. And then, get in the routine of working on each project. Since I have TEN projects listed I will be doubling up on some days. I do plan to work on Saturdays and Sundays as well. I will designate at least two hours each day and it will no doubt, be in the evenings, which is when I’m at my best. You see, I must get all these things done before I get any older or before I die. Once I get all these things done, then I can REALLY retire and die in peace.

Being the lazy fellow, I am, I have settled on simple goals. Like taking a daily walk and doing a bit of reading. That's it!

@IreneVincent Well, that's good. At least it's just adding the finishing touches to these projects.

@dodo19 That's right. That's why I think I can get them done. And I will then have a feeling of accomplishment.

You sound like me and my computer area is my biggest challenge. Every time I get rid of things more things appear. Someday I will get it cleaned.

@ramapo17 I printed out the list and I am usually able to post two articles every day on mylot. Except for when I go out of town. I've got enough information to start on my book of memoirs, so I've printed out quite a bit and can get started on that. I think I have finally found all the poetry that I have written and I've got those all ready to publish also. I had the jewelry sale and it went very well. I sold over $5000, but I still have some jewelry left over. I might do another sale this Fall. I haven't really learned yet how to sell online. My grandson said that he would help me figure it out, but he is so busy. He goes to High School. He's in the 11th grade this year, but he also goes to a class at a Tech school and he goes to classes at a Community college too. It's a very busy schedule for him now and with homework, he has a lot to keep up with. I have one more stack of papers to shred and my daughter-in-law said that she will take them the next time she goes to the office and shred them for me. Then, that will be completed. I will work on my closets this winter. I have lost almost 60 pounds, so I need to get rid of quite a lot of my clothes and I will get that done soon. My grand daughter had said that she was going to have a Yard Sale this month, but so far she hasn't had time to put it together. I was hoping to sell some things there. I've got several boxes of things to sell, but I may end up giving the items to a friend of mine who takes things to a Flea Market every week-end. I'm still making progress, so that's a good thing. So, I'm definitely making progress

I was surprised to see your comment on this list that I published last year. I did finish the photo album. I actually made one for me and one for my younger brother. The photos are all labeled and so that project is complete. I'm down to my last "pile" of paper work that has anything to do with my jewelry business. My office is almost empty now. I had hoped to have it all done by now, but so many things have come up that slowed down my progress. But, at least, I'm still moving forward on all these things. I'm going to print out this page again now that I see it to remind myself of what my goals were last year and mark off the ones that I have completed. I have definitely made progress on most of them. I appreciate your reminder.

@IreneVincent At least you are getting things cleaned up in your office. I haven't gotten that far yet. Maybe next year.

I guess it is more productive to have them written down.

Wow I got exhausted just reading it all. I don't think I would be able to get that much accomplished in a year. I hope you get everything done that you have set out for yourself. Looking forward to reading your articles this month. Have a good day and you better get started time is ticking away!!

I've been working on all of these projects for a long time, cleaning out my office for instance has been going on for over a year now, since I retired. But, now I just want to finish all of them. I don't have a lot left to do, and I really think if I concentrate on them, I can get them all done.

Looks like a well planned month, and they are very impressive too. Have you also thought about self-publishing your writings? Like do an Ebook for it.
