I have a friend who is so bold in sharing, he offends people.

I have a friend in Facebook who's dogmatic in sharing his views about his faith and what he believes in. Although I admire his boldness, many of his friends aren't that spiritually mature yet and cannot take his deep views about biblical principles and so he is chastised by many on the comments section. Some mutual friends of ours are actually blessed by the principles he lays down and it becomes a reminder for them to follow those biblical standards and stand on biblical beliefs. Do you think what my friend is doing is efficient? If so, what are your thoughts?

i am neither against nor for it. it's his facebook account, and he can share what he wants to. but hopefully when he shares, it's with respect for other religions too.

That's true, I told him to turn it down a bit because there are people who are offended by his views and beliefs, and I even offered to help him be tactful in how he shares them so that people would better understand his views and analyze it for themselves than being imposed upon by his dogmatism. Thanks for your response.

It's hard to share things about religious beliefs on the social media . People from different religion can get offended indeed . How courageous your friend is !

I don't find this courageous but intrusive. If someone left such messages for me repeatedly, I'd unfriend them.

That's true, he is bold and firm in his beliefs. Most people hate to be offended and will retaliate when those things happen, but at least the comments on his shares are just ridiculous and funny, and it's great he doesn't get offended easily.

I think that everyone should have the freedom to seek his spiritual way. I donĀ“t like people who try to impose their ways.

It's true that I would not want others to impose their beliefs on me. But now that I think about it, it's also up to his readers in social media if they want to read his views and get influenced or not. If they are really his so called friends, I think they will just leave him be for what he wants to share, and not be influenced by his views as they seek their own. Thanks for your response.

It's his Facebook. He can do and say whatever he wants to as long as he is not hurting anybody. If his Facebook friends don't like to see his posts, then they are free to unfollow or unfriend or even block him.

That's true, they are just mere words and it is up to the reader if he/she will get offended by it. And as you said, they are free to unfriend, or unfollow that person. Do you think that being dogmatic in sharing your personal beliefs and principles is efficient even if it may offend some people?

@GopherDanny Depends on what he is trying to accomplish. If he wants to influence more people to join his beliefs, I guess that's not a good way of doing it. But if he is just merely expressing himself, like I said, there's nothing wrong with it as long as he is not hurting anyone in the process.

Sharing beliefs is not a problem in my opinion...as long as we are not telling others how they should or shouldn't live their lives. Everyone has the right to live their lives in whatever way they choose. It is more important to be a good human being....as long as people are that...i have no problem with whatever they chose to believe.
