Do you wear a work uniform or casual clothes in your workplace?

In my workplace, teachers wear relaxed dresses, such as trousers, hem, blouse, skirt. But of course we are not allowed to wear jeans and T-shirt. This morning, the headmaster told us that by next week we will wear a work uniform every Monday. I personally do not agree if we have to wear a work uniform. I think wearing casual clothes are more comfortable. What about you? Do you wear casual clothes or a work uniform in your workplace? Which do you prefer between both of them? Image credits pixabay

My precious employer you can wear anything you want.. but for shoes you have to wear closed toe. And then everyone wears a jacket with their name.

How do you get the jacket? Does the employer give it to each employee?

@Ayuriny Yes it is a smock jacket with our names because the employer was an electronic company and we need to protect the amount of electricity or something to stay grounded so the components dont burn out.

Even though I can wear almost anything I want, there is an unsaid rule to wear somewhat formal clothes. I prefer to wear T-shirt and jeans as I find them comfortable.

That's good. You always wear semi formal clothes to work. Where do you work?

@Ayuriny I work in a government organization. People don't really mind what you wear here, so long as you don't wear something that makes them raise their eyebrows! What are your favourite subjects?

That's nice.. Casual clothes are very comfortable to wear. Is there any regulation regarding the casuals?

In our workplace, there are no clothes restriction except of course swimwears, and inappropriate clothes for work. We can go in even though we are wearing shorts and a tshirt, or keep it casual, or formal, whatever you want so long as you get the job done. There is polo shirt they require us to use on wednesdays, but aside from that there's nothing more. I enjoy it as I work comfortably. But of course, I like to look like a man who will succeed so i always wear polo shirts or polos instead of simple t-shirts only, and I wear black straight jeans most of the time. It's all about preferences in our workplace.

Yeah, it depends on the what kind of job do we have. Are you teaching swimming? You seem to enjoy your job very much in which everyone should do the same like you.

@Ayuriny No actually, I'm a software engineer on a tech firm. I do enjoy my job very much, and during leisure time, we can play console games on the company TV, but in return, we become more productive. I also take up part time teaching in my previous school and that's the time when I need to wear formal wear with polos, ties, and black shoes, nevertheless, the experience of teaching and imparting your knowledge to the next generation is a privilege, as you may know so. All the best to your endeavors!

At my workplace, we do not have uniform. I prefer it this way. even though on the other hand, if you have a uniform, you don't have to think what to wear.

Yeah, in that case having a uniform is better. But still I prefer the most comfortable one. I like to be relaxed which I can get by wearing casual clothes.... What do you usually wear at your workplace? Are you allowed to wearT-shirt?

We don't have the uniforms in our company. We can wear whatever we like. It is free will. I really like that. Most of the time I will wear casual clothes. I will wear formal for the important events. As to the teachers, it is strange for me that they have to wear uniforms. But at the first day when I went to my son's school, I found that they had uniforms but they are not required to wear them, I guess. They wear them in special events like sports meeting.

@Ayuriny In fact I think some jobs like policemen, doctors, nurses etc. shall wear the uniforms. But it is also an advantage of having the uniforms. Then you don't have to buy new clothes so often

That's really nice. I think it's more comfortable wearing casual clothes at works than wearing uniforms.
