I will not say that there weren´t good moments with my grandchildren. There are stories to tell and moments to remember.
But I confess that I´m happy that my daughter and her husband are arriving tomorrow night.
Today she talked to me by whatsapp and although the liked their week on honeymoon, they found out that there is no place like home.
I have been to Buenos Aires several times and I think it´s a wonderful city, maybe the most interesting in South America, better than Rio or Sao Paulo.
Still, they had fun and visited a lot. And there´s one more day until their return.

Children ARE children, dear. And I´m old. I get tired. On Halloween and the day after, I looked like a witch, broom in hand, making way everywhere so that we would not trip on the pollypockets and fall down.

@jaboUK I decided I prefered bigger dolls. Those you can throw away with your feet. These are the kind you step on.

I am glad they had a good time and I am sure the kids will be happy to see them.

I´m sure that the first words will be "what did you bring me?" I used to say the same to my parents

We make memories everywhere and all the time. My grandchildren are a source of funny stories now. But I also remember that over 50 years ago I went for my honeymoon to Buenos Aires.

Babysitting can be both rewarding and taxing at the same time.

I wholly agree. I find myself too old to keep Sofía´s pace. She is 6.

I think that I´ll talk by phone with her on Friday and will relax at home after the turmoil of a week with kids including Halloween and a maid that never showed up to help.
